In a statement, City of Masvingo spokesperson, Ms Ashleigh Jinjika, said this month’s clean-up campaign, which will be held on Friday under the theme ‘Promoting Green Gatherings and Travelling.’

“Churches are encouraged to gather and actively participate in cleaning their surroundings and designated areas,” she said.

“This initiative seeks to promote responsible waste management, cleaner public spaces and a culture of environmental consciousness during Easter gatherings and travels.

“Let us work together to keep our city clean, healthy and welcoming for residents and visitors during the festive season.”
