Amos Saranavo (56) is claiming US$600 plus interest from Zifa provincial chairman Wellington Muchemwa who he allegedly gave some herbs to help the now defunct Masvingo-based Division One outfit Setheo Football Club to win a soccer match.
Mr Saranavo recently dragged Muchemwa to the Masvingo Civil Court where he is demanding the money.
The traditional healer, who is being represented by prominent Masvingo lawyer Mr Isaac Muzenda of Muzenda and Partners, wants Muchemwa to pay for services rendered, including interest and legal costs.
Muchemwa has since been handed summons to appear before the Masvingo Civil Courts after Saranavo filed litigation against him.
In his papers, Saranavo, claims that he is a duly registered traditional healer who practises at his house in Mucheke suburb.
He further claims that some time in April 2012, he was approached by Muchemwa on behalf of Setheo seeking his help to win a Division One fixture.
The traditional healer, who claims to be an expert in providing herbs that help football clubs win matches, allegedly gave Muchemwa some herbs for US$600 that helped Setheo win the match.
He further contends that he was never given the money by Muchemwa though he claims Setheo won the match after he provided the herbs.
In his defence, Muchemwa, who has no legal representation, wrote a request for Saranavo’s details demanding to know where he consulted the self-styled traditional healer.
He also demanded to know the exact time he met the traditional healer.
