Mat South Investment Indaba begins

Scores of delegates from various economic sectors are gathered in Beitbridge today for a Matabeleland South investment expo ans indaba.

The event running under the theme unlocking the future: showcasing resources and boundless opportunities.

The provincial director for infrustructure development and environmental management, Mr Daniel Njowa said the expo seeks to market the province as an investment destination of choice.

He said the province was rich in investment opportunities in mining, livestock production, transport and logistics, agriculture among others.

He said they had invited a number of investors and economic players to the investment indaba.

The conference is running between Thursday and Friday.

It will also include a tour of the new us3,6 billion Palm River special economix zone and industrial park that is under construction on Beitbridge west.

“We invite all those interest including the diaspora community to explore opportunities in our province,” said Mr Njowa.

Matabeleland South has three urban councils and three rural district councils.

The event is being sponsored by various corporates and will be streamed live on digital platforms.
