Matabeleland South gets new PA

UMZINGWANE District Administrator Mr Peter Moyo has been appointed Matabeleland South Acting Provincial Administrator replacing Mr Midard Khumalo who was forced to resign last month by the Civil Service Commission.

Mr Khumalo was forced to resign four months into his contract that had been extended by a year. In a letter written to heads of departments in the province gleaned by Sunday News, a W Donga, signing on behalf of the Secretary for Rural Development, Promotion and Preservation of National Culture and Heritage Dr Thokozile Chitepo confirmed the appointment of Mr Moyo as the Acting Provincial Administrator.

“Following the retirement of former substantive Provincial Administrator for Matabeleland South, Mr Midard Khumalo on the 19th of April, the Secretary for Rural Development, Promotion and Preservation of National Culture and Heritage has appointed Mr Peter Moyo, the District Administrator for Umzingwane the Acting Provincial Administrator for Matabeleland South with effect from the 25th of April 2016.

“We look forward to your continued support and cooperation in bringing development within the province through advancing the numerous Government programmes and projects,” read part of the letter.
