THE prestigious Matabeleland Annual Business Awards (MABAs), scheduled for this Friday in Bulawayo, are set to honour innovation, resilience and exceptional achievements across the region’s dynamic business landscape and have attracted some of the top financial and policy minds.
Running under the theme “Unlocking Business Potential through Policy, Partnerships, and Productivity,” the event seeks to foster a culture of excellence, stimulate healthy competition, and elevate regional enterprise through strategic alignment and innovation.
Speaking to Zimpapers Business Hub on Wednesday, Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce Matabeleland Regional Manager, Mr Mduduzi Ncube confirmed that Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) Governor, Dr John Mushayavanhu, the Country Representative of AFREXIM Bank, Mr Humphrey Nwungo and the Chief Advisor to the
Government on Middle East Affairs, Ambassador Mohamed Jassat are expected to be among the high-profile guests of honour.
“Their participation highlights the importance of aligning policy, strengthening partnerships, and enhancing productivity to unlock the full potential of Matabeleland’s thriving business community,” said Mr Ncube.
He added that the awards serve not only to celebrate success but also to inspire greater corporate responsibility and innovation among enterprises in the region.
“It’s a rallying call for businesses to join forces in creating sustainable solutions to common economic challenges,” he said.
The awards ceremony will recognise excellence across more than 15 categories, spotlighting top performers in sectors such as finance, manufacturing, services, innovation, and community impact.
