THE Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC) has elected Mr Hlanganiso Matangaidze as its new president.
Mr Matangaidze takes over from Mr Oswell Binha who has been at the helm for the past two years. Mr Matangaidze would be deputised by Mr Davison Norupiri supported by four national vice-presidents. Addressing journalists Mr Binha said the four national vice-presidents were Mrs Divine Ndhlukula, Mr Rowland Makaure, Mr Obert Muzavazi and Dr Alvan Senderayi from Mashonaland, Matabeleland, Manicaland and Midlands regions.
Mr Binha will, however, remain part of the national executive council to ensure a smooth transfer of leadership of the chamber and may continue in the same capacity if there are no changes in the executive council.

Mr Matangaidze said his immediate priority would be to extend engagements with the Government in a bid to influence policy that has a bearing on factors troubling the industry.
Hopefully, after the elections and soon thereafter we will push the business agenda forward. Because of the state of the economy the engagement with the Government is very important,” he said.
