Matapure family still to collect remains for burial

went missing at the Harare Agricultural Show in August last year.
Sources yesterday confirmed that the remains had not been collected.
It is alleged that the family pointed out that their son was in Botswana and the remains which were found are not his.
Efforts to get a comment from the family spokesperson Mr Godwin Matapure were fruitless since last Friday.
Recently, the family said it would only collect the remains for burial after being shown a copy of the DNA test results.
Police sources said when the family members were informed about the DNA results last month, they insisted that Given was still alive.
The family has also been reportedly conducting traditional rituals to ascertain whether or not the remains belong to their son.
DNA test results conducted in South Africa on the skeletal remains found at the Exhibition Park in November last year matched that of Given.
The results arrived in the country in          April.
The Zimbabwe Agricultural Society will this year introduce closed circuit television cameras for maximum security at the Harare Agricultural Show following the disappearance of Given at last year’s edition.
The show will be held at the end of this month.
