Matter of fact

IN the June 16 edition of The Chronicle we published a story titled “Pupil withdraws case against school” in which we suggested that a settlement had been struck that involved Whitestone Primary School waiving the child’s fees for next term.

It has since come to our attention that there was no such settlement and the pupil will pay the full fees.

The pupil’s father also paid $1,500 to the school only after filing the court application and was ordered by the High Court to pay the school’s legal costs after withdrawing the matter.

Any inconvenience caused to Whitestone Primary School is sincerely regretted. — Editor
