KWEKWE-BASED choral group, Maungira Edenga, will sample their forthcoming album during a visit Botswana for live shows from August 31 to September 6.

The group’s co-founders – Everson and Sylvester Mutema – believe the tour will help them renew their romance with music lovers in Francistown, Mahalapye and Gaborone.

The new album is due for release in November courtesy of Pastor Dr W and D Anifasi of Global Proclamation of Salvation Ministries.

Speaking to H-Metro, Sylvester said they will sample their fourth album titled ‘Tirivapfuuri Panyika,’ which carries six tracks.

“It’s actually our fourth visit to Botswana for live shows and we promise nothing but the best like always.

“It’s an opportunity for us to sample our new album which will hit the market in November.

“We had been affected by Covid-19 but now it’s now thing of the past.

“We are going to be reunited with gospel lovers who are in Botswana.

“The feeling is always amazing and we promise the best.”

He added:

“We are already shooting videos off this album so that the visuals will complement the audios.

“This album is rich and we want to win lost souls.

“Our purpose as gospel artists is to win souls and preach the good news.”

Similar sentiments were echoed by his twin brother Everson.

“We are holding a series of shows in and out of Zimbabwe.

“Honestly, we don’t have any challenges so far because we are managing to travel to all the places where we are booked.

“We are going to launch our new album in November and preparations for the launch are underway.”

The album carries six tracks namely Musakanganwe Hama, Jehovha Tiitewo Midziyo, Vazhinji Vanayo Nhaka, Paul Na Silas, Kudenga KunaMwari and Nditarirei Panguva Dzeusiku.

They have four albums to their credit.
