FORMER Yadah FC forward Leeroy Mavunga is currently club hunting after returning home recently following the expiry of his contract with Botswana side Morupule FC.
The 25-year-old forward is likely to sign for a local Premiership side during this mid-season transfer window.
Zimpapers Sports also understands the forward is on the radar of two clubs from the Zambia Super League.
At the same time, some top-flight clubs from Botswana are also monitoring his situation.
Last season the forward made 20 appearances, in which he found the back of the net seven times and registered five assists. Before he moved to Morupule, he played for Orapa United in Botswana.
A source close to the player revealed, “His contract with Morupule ran out at the end of the season and he is in the country as he waits for his next move to materialise.
“There have been several inquiries from teams from Botswana and two teams from Zambia who are seeking his services.
“Due to the negotiations still underway we can’t mention the names of clubs that have approached the player and those we have got in contact with as we try to find him a new home.
“However, the player has also been receiving a lot of inquiries back home. We have been considering some of the moves which look good.
“We are going to evaluate all the offers and see which will be the best move for the player. Interestingly, division one side Scottland FC have also tabled an offer amongst the big boys.
“So, in the upcoming days we will be in a clear position to tell where he will be playing and as it stands it can be in Zimbabwe, Zambia, or Botswana,” he said.
