DSTV Rangers coach Bigboy Mawiwi says his team is motivated by facing a big side like Black Rhinos ahead of their clash in a ZIFA Northern Region Division One league match at Commando this afternoon. Mawiwi, who has a good record of promoting teams from Division One, saw his men collect maximum points for the first time this season against Chegutu Pirates last week.

Rangers have this year recruited several seasoned players, who include former Dynamos captain Thomas Magorimbo and want to fight for the league title. “We are very motivated to playing a big side like Black Rhinos and we are looking forward to the game as it will go a long way in shaping our title challenge.

“We have been practising a lot and all the guys who joined this year have managed to settle in the team. “The game against Chegutu Pirates was a confidence-booster for us as they are a good side. We respect Rhinos but we are going to give them a good run,” Mawiwi said.

Rhinos are on top of the log with nine points and will come into this match favourites for a win. They are coached by former Zimbabwe football great, Stanford “Stix” Mtizwa.
