The late Mawuru was one of the few successful producers in the country and beyond with his repertoire of films that include “Neria”, and the popular soap Studio 263 which gained international success.
Studio 263 reached 2 000 episodes during its run and was the first Zimbabwean soap to be screened on DStv’s AfricaMagic. Mawuru also produced the hit television talk show, “This is Life” among other short films.
Mawuru is survived by his wife Tsitsi and two children — Joe and Rumbidzai.
