His manager, Tarisai Kanyama, expressed excitement about the project stressing that they put a lot of work in order to produce the next best afro fusion album.
“Nendoro’s first album did not do well because of poor management issues but we went back to the drawing board and ironed things out.
“We also seek the services of experts like Mono Mkundu and Philip Svosve who worked to bring out the best in the talented youngster. He has grown through interaction with other artistes in platforms life the Open Mic where he is now a regular performer,” she said.
It is worth mentioning that Nendoro is a representation of a new breed of artistes whose music has a touch of our local culture. Although he sings about the simple issues like courtship in songs “Machena”, “Hello Bebie” he puts out an African twist to it, making his stories relevant, interesting and believable.
Nendoro also encompasses a bit of everything in his album as he addresses issues of violence in “Musapopotedzane”. Other songs like “Prezha” serve to confirm he is an ordinary guy who likes having fun after all is said and done.
It is clear that if he maintains his competence, he is bound to measure up or exceed the standards set by seasoned artistes like Alexio Kawara since his music is not “bubble gum”.
It remains to be seen if the youngster will “ice the cake” with a formidable stage performance.
“This album is an improved version of me,” he said during an interview.
“Everything is up to scratch, from the vocals, the lyrics and to the arrangement of the instruments.
“I thank everyone who made the album a success. I encourage people to come tonight in their numbers to see what I am made of,” he added.
A line-up of stars is also expected to grace his launch that coincides his 29th birthday.
“We have invited Dudu Manhenga, Clare Nyakujara, Bob Nyabinde, Parade Magazine and other stakeholders Lloyd Manhopi, Peter Gwaza, who made this possible. Supporting acts will also include upcoming groups.”
