Maximum Colaz shines

There have been positive responses to upcoming dancehall artiste Maximum Colaz’s debut offering entitled Moto Moto Mugheto which carries 8 tracks with the song Moto Moto leading in popularity. Maximum Colaz whose real name is Calvin Chikara released his album recently and some of the tracks include Cashlibs City, Mangoma Ndaridza featuring JMP of Legendary Music, and Vachatizira Mudondo, Ose Machena, Murudo, Party We Party and Vari Guilty. Maximum Colaz’s club banger Moto Moto is enjoying heavy rotation on radio and has caught attention of many listeners.

Ever since landing his smash album, the 25-year-old Dangamvura based singer has been a crowd puller on live show circuit and has stirred night clubs with a string of likeable dance-floor beats. Every week he performs at Club Mandisa and many people are appreciating his music.

“The support that I am getting from my fans is so overwhelming. The song Moto Moto is proving to be the crowd’s favourite. I am very happy because my music is gaining popularity and gaining fair airplay on our local radio station Diamond FM,” he said.

The young artiste vowed to make a lasting mark on the local music scene. He is endowed with a well polished voice and no doubt that talent abounds in him.

Maximum Colaz paid tribute to Soul Jah Love and said the dancehall artiste has greatly inspired him.

“Soul Jah Love has greatly inspired me. The man is currently doing great. Regionally, I love the music of the late Lucky Dube and I just wish to reach those stages,’’ said the dread-locked singer.

Maximum who started his music career some six years ago laments lack of promoters and quality studios as hindrances to his bright future.
