ZIMBABWEAN professional golf player Bruce McDonald claimed his second win of the year at the Cabarrus Country Club at Concord in North Carolina, United States, over the weekend.
With impressive rounds of 65 and 68 for an 11-under total, the Zimbabwean beat his closest rival Kelvin Day by a single shot. Mcdonald had claimed the TPC Piper Glen, which was the first event of the Series Six tournaments, back in August when he finished on eight under-par.
The second win saw the Zimbabwean going on top of the money list on the tour with $14 000. McDonald is seen as a bright prospect by veteran Nick Price and walked away with $3 700 for his efforts.
The tournament saw 49 players taking to the field and it was McDonald who came out top. Each series for the 2015 season will consist of four events. The players were competing for first and second place bonus money and compete in, at least, two events per series. However, the bonus money was not restricted to members.
As with the 2014 season, non-members were allowed to compete for the bonus money, but also compete in two events.
