AT just 16 years old, Nyasha Muchengeti is defying age and social expectations to pursue his passion for entrepreneurship. As the driving force behind the growing Chronicls clothing brand, he’s already making a name for himself in the industry and inspiring others to do the same.
In fact, Nyasha’s brand has already caught the attention of several influential people, including Zimbabwean international Sikandar Raza Butt, socialite and entrepreneur Passion Java, and socialite Mr Stylz.
Despite the success he’s already achieved, Nyasha remains humble and grateful for the support of his family and community.
In an interview with Saturday Leisure, Nyasha shared how his dream of starting Chronicls came about.
“Chronicls is a brand I started at the beginning of 2020 when the Covid-19 pandemic started getting a real grip on everyone.
Instead of sitting at home and spending most of my time on social media, I decided to do something which I loved which would also positively impact my life and be able to inspire and motivate my peers and other people.”
Nyasha’s passion for art was the driving force behind his brand, and he even started off by customising shoes for people before transitioning to clothing.
“I started off with about 4 t-shirts as that was all that I could afford. I started advertising to my friends and on my Instagram and the brand actually started to grow,” he shared.
Despite his success, Nyasha remains committed to his studies, currently pursuing Computer Science, Accounts, and Economics at St Patrick’s Christian Brothers College (CBC) A-level.
And while he may be going against the grain, Nyasha is motivated by his parents, who have taught him to always face his fears and keep going.
“My parents are my greatest inspiration.
This amazing two-year journey wouldn’t have been possible had it not been for God’s guidance and everyone’s support.
They are the ones making Chronicls to not just be a brand but a lifestyle,” he shared.
With his passion for art and dedication to his brand, Nyasha’s future looks bright. As he continues to inspire and motivate others to create their own legacies, there’s no doubt that Chronicls will only continue to grow and expand.
Nyasha’s dedication to entrepreneurship doesn’t stop with his clothing brand, as he has also started manufacturing winter sportswear for local schools.
He supplied St Patrick’s CBC and Petra College with hoodies, which brought in a profit of $700, allowing his brand to grow and expand.
Nyasha’s success at such a young age is truly impressive, and his story serves as an inspiration to many. Despite his unconventional path, he has proven that with hard work, determination, and a strong support system, anyone can achieve their dreams. As Nyasha continues to pursue his passion for art and entrepreneurship, it’s clear that he is destined for great things.
