SOCIAL media sensation, Ngedwa “Mr Ronaldo” Mpako, whose videos have been going viral, is quite an intelligent kid.
He is a passionate fan of the Manchester United superstar. Some people now call him “Kakatowanda” after his signature word, when it comes to football debates.
His mother, a vegetable vendor, said the Mbare-bred kid is crazy about football debates, as shown in the videos, which have been circulating on the internet.
“He is in Grade One at Nharira Primary School and I have watched his whole process of loving football from the heart.
“It is an in-born passion and Ngedwa is always at the ground with his uncle, who is a coach at Real Stars. “We don’t have DStv but he is always at other kids’ places, or shopping centres, keeping up with football matches,” she said.
Asked if she wanted her child to pursue a football career, she said:
“I am a vendor and I can’t afford all the soccer kits but letting him go out for soccer matches, and camps, is what I can afford at the moment.”
Ngedwa’s coach, Kavayi, said:
“Ngedwa is always crying about going to local soccer matches with me and I have been going with him since he was around three years’ old.
“At our club, he plays for the under-10 team, and he is a utility player.
“He knows most players by name and their teams but he loves Ronaldo more.”
