HARARE City coach, Taurai Mangwiro, says they want to try and do well in the second half of the season.
The PSL have given clubs a two-week layoff, after Matchday 17.
“As a team we are in position 11 out of 18, poor by our own standards and I feel we should be up there with the best.
“The challenge we’ve had, as a club, is that we’ve had far too many draws, we’ve lost five times and won only three times, which is not good enough.
“We have been poor at some stage, we were leaking goals and we’ve improved in the last seven games.
“But, there has been an improvement in our defensive organisation but we are not doing justice to the numerous chances that we create and it’s a cause for concern.”
He said they want to boost their goalkeeping department and work on their forwards.
“I believe in the squad that we have, we need to make changes to the pool, we need to address the goalkeeping department.
“We have only two, we need to have four, and we have been working with two youngsters that we hope will be able to register, should the registration window open.
“The misfiring strikeforce, I feel we need to continue dealing with them, expose them to a variety of finishing techniques, exercises and, hopefully, it will help.
“When I look at the squad that I have, I don’t think we are a poor team, it’s just that we’ve done ourselves injustice by our failure to finish off opponents, failure to convert good opportunities.”
