A MAN who is suspected to be mentally ill allegedly stoned two elderly men to death after they instructed him to wear a shirt.
The incident has been confirmed by Midlands Police Spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko.

“We confirm the incident and urge members of the public who have relatives who are mentally challenged to strictly monitor them and make sure that they take them to hospital for medical attention,” he said.

A source close to the incident said Obvious Ngwazani (37) from Manoti in Gokwe, Midlands Province was sitting by the roadside near a business center without wearing a shirt.  It is alleged Shekem Muromo (58) and Bonface Gwatiringa (60) got worried upon seeing him since it was cold.

It is said they ordered him to wear a shirt but that did go down well with Ngwazani. He allegedly picked a stone and severely hit Maromo on the head who fell to the ground and died on the spot.

He reportedly went after Gwatiringa and mercilessly attacked him several times with stones. He tumbled to the ground and bled profusely. Gwatiringa died after a few minutes in a pool of blood. The incident was reported to the police leading to the arrest of Ngwazani.
