Mentally challenged pupil goes missing

POLICE in Bulawayo are appealing for help from members of the public to locate a 20-year-old Mpopoma High School pupil who went missing last month.

Remedy Khumalo, left home for school on August 15 and was last seen at Block number 13/535 in Mpopoma suburb.

“He was seen wearing a black jacket, brown pair of trousers and black school shoes. Remedy is about 1,6M tall, medium built, and light in complexion with brown eyes and black hair,” Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Precious Simango said.

She said Khumalo is mentally challenged and is on medication. “Anyone with information regarding Khumalo’s whereabouts should contact the officer in charge ZRP Western Commonage, Chief Inspector Tshuma on 09-400210 or the investigating officer Constable Ncube on 09-406775 or 407535 or any nearest police station,” Insp Simango said.

In another appeal, a family from Lobengula West suburb in Bulawayo has said it is looking for a 61-year-old man who went missing two years ago.

James Dube was last seen in Lobengula West, he was on his way to visit a sick neighbour.

Family spokesperson, Mrs Senzeni Dlamini said Dube, who lived with his cousin, left home and never returned, prompting them to report the matter at Magwegwe Police Station. She said Dube has mental problems.

“We got very worried as a family when he didn’t come home .We tried looking for him but to no avail. We put up flyers with his picture all over the city but nothing came up,” said Mrs Dlamini.

“He was last seen wearing a khakhi shirt, khakhi trousers and white takkies. He is short, dark in complexion with brown eyes. He has a scar at the back of his head.”

She said the family has not stopped searching for him and anyone with information that can help locate him can contact her on 0774 780 922. — @PrinceNkosy102
