Mhere appointed ZAHA ambassador

He will receive a facility car to use during his ambassadorial role. Accepting the ambassadorial contract, Mhere said he was elated and honoured to be associated with such an initiative.

“I feel honoured to be the face of the project. I am geared up for the task since I was raised from a humble background and grew up among poor people. With that I think God wants me to minister his word in a different way,” he said.

ZAHA director general Killer Zivhu said his organisation and partners saw it fit to give back to the community by assisting Mhere.
“We have come up with the initiative of charity homes programmes and we saw it fit to appoint him an ambassador after looking at how his music touches the souls of many. It is a programme ZAHA in partnership with Allied Bank and Chipaz Promotions.

“We are wholly financing the project and the main thrust is to construct more houses for the less privileged in various communities. Money from live shows will be donated to that cause.

“He will donate a certain percentage from his own shows and identify families in rural and urban areas which will benefit from those shows. Where there is not enough cash tents will be erected. We decided to gave him the residential stand so that he owns a decent home as an ambassador. We are in the process of securing him a vehicle which he will use in the programmes.

“It is our hope that he goes to the poor people and assist, Zivhu said.
Music promoter Partson “Chipaz” Chimbodza hailed ZAHA for taking the initiative to work with musicians. “It is good and we would like to thank ZAHA and Allied Bank for the idea.

It is an eye-opener to corporate institutions that there are lots of artistes in the country who need support. It is better corporate organisations treat local artistes better than international artistes. For an artiste to be where they are, there is a promoter who would have played a big role,” he said.

Last month ZAHA constructed a charity homestead for Ambuya Mazvivamba Mambeva (81), her sons and grandchildren.
Afterwards, locals were treated with a mini gala at Mushayavanhu Business Centre in Gutu.
