MATHIAS Mhere’s backing vocalist  and dancer, Nash Tarrus, is dreaming big.

After years of sharpening his skills under the mentorship of the award-winning gospel musician, the rising RnB musician wants recognition.

Today, he is set to release a single titled ‘‘Handina.’’

In an interview, Tinashe said he would not give up.

“It has really been hard for me as an upcoming artiste to be recognised and it is really tough.

“When it comes to sponsorship and even promoters, it’s hard.

“It is like they do not want to associate with people without fame.

“All these challenges are giving me strength to want to work hard and make a name for myself,” he said.

Tinashe has been working under Mhere for the past few years.

“I have been Mathias Mhere’s backing vocalist since 2012.

“He inspired me a lot to be a solo musician as he makes me enjoy singing with how he handles himself and how I see the way people appreciate his music,” said Tinashe.

His passion for music began long back when he was still a child.

“I grew up going to church every Sunday and Wednesday.

“I enjoyed being around the praise and worship team and I ended up joining the team and my passion for music grew.

“When I became Mhere’s backing vocalist, I told myself that I was going to do something and grow as an artist, just like him,” he told H-Metro.

As a solo artiste, Tinashe has some work in his name.

“I started singing as a solo artiste last year and I released a single called Tamy. On Wednesday (today) I am going to be releasing another single called Handina.

“The track talks about how people in a relationship are supposed to appreciate each other regardless of their financial situations,” he said.

The upcoming artiste has his eyes set on collaborating with other big artistes.
