HIGHLANDERS’ central midfielder Adrian Silla is close to sealing a move to Harare giants CAPS United, while Devine Mhindirira has been courted by recently promoted Simba Bhora.
Silla and Mhindirira have not attended the Highlander’s pre-season preparations which got underway a fortnight ago.
Yesterday Silla was reportedly close to a move to CAPS United having also been linked with Dynamos.
Silla has had his fair share of disciplinary issues which have seen him being suspended at some point last season.
Rumors have been awash that Mhindirira is trying to force his way out of the club for non-payment of signing-on fees.
He together with Silla, Godfrey Makaruse and Mhindirira were informed that the signing-on fees would be paid at the end of this month when they sent an invoice to their sponsors, Sakunda Holdings, who pay directly into players’ bank accounts.
Mhindirira has also been linked with a move to a Sudanese outfit.
Highlanders are said to be looking to cash in on the two players who still have running contracts.
Highlanders club members were discontent over the issue of Mhindirira and Silla at the club’s annual general meeting on Sunday.
Some members sought clarity on the position of the players from the club executive led by Johnfart Sibanda.
Sibanda acknowledged the two had not been attending training and his office was handling their issue.
Asked about the latest developments regarding Silla, Bosso communications officer Nozibelo Maphosa said:
“There has not been any new information on the two players once there is anything we will surely communicate.”
