United States-based former Zimbabwe national team and CAPS United coach Charles Mhlauri has thrown his support behind outgoing Premier Soccer League (PSL) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kenny Ndebele ahead of the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) Executive Committee elections scheduled for Saturday in Harare.
Mhlauri believes Ndebele is one of the few candidates with a proven track record to lead football in Zimbabwe.

Speaking to Zimpapers Sports Hub, Mhlauri expressed confidence in Ndebele as a capable leader for ZIFA.
“Kenny Ndebele: A seasoned and highly qualified football expert with extensive experience managing teams. Currently with the PSL, he is a proven professional in football administration,” he said describing the veteran football administrator.
Ndebele is among five candidates who are vying for the vice president post.
The other candidates include ex-ZIFA vice president Omega Sibanda, former PSL and Highlanders’ chairman Peter Dube, James Takavada and Francis Nyamutsamba.
The much anticipated election is slated for Saturday at Rainbow Towers in Harare.
