CHICKEN Inn winger Michael Charamba has admitted this has not been an easy season for the Gamecocks.
And survival in the last two games of the season will be a great stride given the weight they had to carry in the second half of the season.
Chicken Inn spend the better half of the season flirting with relegation, and they are currently on position 11 with 37 points.
“As a team, we are working hard and showing great determination,” Charamba told Zimpapers Sports Hub.
“It hasn’t been easy, but our unity keeps us going. When we stand together, we can achieve our goals, no matter how tough it gets.”
Since gaining promotion into the Castle Lager Premiership, this has been one of the toughest seasons for Chicken Inn.
Charamba says the experiences were important.
“Overall, the season has been full of lessons and growth. We have shown great effort and improvement as a team, but consistency has been our biggest challenge,” he said. “ . . . And converting our hard work into results.”
Tough decisions will certainly be made during the off-season.
Already, a few coaches have been linked with the club, while they could also be a dominant player in the transfer market.
For Charamba, hard work is what will keep him afloat. And he is pushing his teammates to do likewise.
“Still, the spirit within the squad remains strong, and we are committed to finishing the season on a positive note, and by the grace of God, it is possible. Let’s keep pushing, believing and giving everything for each other.”
