Stakes are high with the top 16 teams expected to field their best players to fight for fuel tokens with the winners set to pocket $400.
MPA chairman Molest Gaka confirmed the two-day tournament, the first for the year.
“Our season opens this weekend with a $2 000 tournament lined up featuring all our league teams.
“We welcome such support from the corporate world and we hope to strike more tournament deals,” said Gaka.
Last year’s champions Pachedu, Ironsides and Mboma dominated the various tournaments and this weekend’s competition is expected to give hints as to which team has assembled a good squad for the year.
