Mighty Bulls to hold trials next week

Premiership, will hold trials for potential players whom they hope could add depth to their side, which could lose several seasoned players.

Motor Action’s preparations for the 2013 season have got off to a slow start giving rise to speculation about the future of the former champions.

But club director, Eric Rosen, allayed any fears of a Mighty Bulls’ collapse and said they would, in fact, be holding trials for prospective players next week as part of their recruitment drive.
The Mighty Bulls would then regroup on January 21, a week after the trials.

Rosen, who returned home on Tuesday from the festive season holidays, said they are still to make the way forward but confirmed the trials. We are going to hold some trials next Monday and that will allow us to add some players to the team.

“Players with potential can come and try their luck during the trials, which are open to everyone.
“We will not be looking at age limits as soccer is all about blending youth and experience,” said Rosen.
Rosen also wants the Mighty Bulls to improve from their showing last season.

“We always look forward to some better outings in every season and this year we have the same vision,” Rosen said.

Mighty Bulls chief of protocol, Simeon Jamanda, said Motor Action would also hold a media briefing tomorrow to outline their 2013 vision.

“We are going to meet as a board and map the way forward, we are still on holiday and business will start on Monday.

“We will be on the market but we do not have specific names so far.
“The correct position will be announced on Sunday after we sit down as a board,” Jamanda said.
Motor Action might also be forced to be active on the transfer market as they have already lost Morris Kadzola to champions Dynamos while another defender Passmore Bernard’s contract ran out last season and he could be on the  move.

Veteran striker Norman Maroto, who was a key figure in their attack and was on loan from FC Platinum has, since reverted to being the platinum miners’ player.

But the backbone of the Mighty Bulls, which includes ageless goalkeeper Marlon Jani, midfielder Isaac Masame and utility player Edward Tembo remains intact.
