Mighty Queens seek to continue their fine form when they clash with Free Stars today in a Bulawayo Province Netball League match at Emakhandeni. Mighty Queens can’t afford any slip-up when they take on Free Stars as they are battling for top spot with high-flying Ntutu Sparrows. Mighty Queens are second on the log standings with 27 points and a game in hand and trail pacesetters Ntutu Sparrows by three points.
They are still in a buoyant mood after they made light work of Old Nic whom they beat 62-2, while Free Stars are hoping to bounce back from 21-37 defeat to Railstars.
Goal attacker Connie Bhuka will be expected to be at her best for Mighty Queens when they take on youthful Free Stars.
Stars team manager Lisa Mangena is promising Mighty Queens a good run for their money when the two sides clash.
“It won’t be a walk in the park for them, we promise to give them a strong challenge, we know they have strong team with players like Connie but we are ready for them,” said Mangena.
