Mighty Warriors ‘keeper in Zambia

MIGHTY Warriors goalkeeper, Chido Dzingirai, is in Zambia where she is undergoing trials, for two weeks, at the club owned by the Zambian Institute for Successful Development. 

ZISD, a non-governmental organisation, bankroll the club, which is based in Lusaka.

Dzingirai, the 29-year-old player for the Correctional Services team here, started her football career at Mbare Queens, in 2008.

She was a striker, before she proceeded to Cyclone Stars, where she was turned into a good goalkeeper.

Dzingirai joined Flame Lilly Queens, in 2011, and got employed as a prison officer. 

She is a key member of the Mighty Warriors and has represented Zimbabwe in various women tournaments, including the 2026 Olympics, in Brazil.
