MIGHTY Warriors, technical advisor Maxwell Takaendesa Jongwe says they are here on a mission to conquer their hosts in two international friendly matches set for this week. The women’s senior national team arrived here in the early hours of yesterday and they will take on Egypt in the first of the two matches tomorrow at 1pm at 6 October Stadium with the second game set for Saturday at the Fifa Village.
The matches are part of their preparations for the African Women Championships qualifiers starting next month.
The Mighty Warriors were in camp for two weeks in December when they took on Lesotho in the Unity Challenge Cup, which they won.
“We want to check how far we have gone in our preparations, how best have we prepared. We will go flat out, give it our best shot.
“They are okay, they have had enough rest having arrived early this morning, rested in the morning and loosen in the afternoon, and have a day (to rest) tomorrow, I think they will be ready.
“We will work on a few set pieces tomorrow,” said Jongwe.
