Mike Abrahams is alive

FORMER Arcadia United midfielder cum winger Mike Abrahams is alive and well contrary to reports that he had died. We reported yesterday that Abrahams had died last Wednesday in Bulawayo and was buried at New Luveve Cemetery but this was a terrible mix-up as the person who passed on was in fact a city businessman Abbie Abrahams.

A shocked Mike, better known as Mabhurugwa during his playing days, walked into the Chronicle newsroom yesterday to declare, “I’m alive”.

He said he had maintained a low profile since hanging his boots.

“I’m alive and employed by Delta Beverages. I understand that there was a mix-up in terms of names but I’m alright. I pursued a low profile after hanging my boots and have never been involved in football in any capacity of late,” said Mike.
