Milito ready for action

FORMER Highlanders utility player Milton Ncube is ready for their Absa Premiership game against Maritzburg United at Cape Town Stadium on Saturday night. The left footed player believes the short break for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers has helped the players freshen up a bit.

He said they have now shifted focus to the weekend game. Ajax are determined to get it right after they suffered a 3-0 humiliation to Pretoria University two weeks ago.

“The team had enough rest during the short break and luckily all the players are injury free. At the moment most players are anxiously waiting for the Maritzburg game,” said Ncube.

“I’m hoping to start the game this time around as I feel I have settled well in the team. Our coach Roger de Sa introduced me in the second half in the last game and it was my proudest experience in the PSL.”

Maritzburg United, home to Terrance Mandaza, will, however, not be pushovers although the Urban Warriors might bank on home advantage.
Ncube moved to the Absa Premiership side after some sterling performances during the Chan Championships which were held here early this year.
He was among a host of Warriors players that caught the attention of South African scouts.
