a series of shows lined up before year-end will see eight Djs split into two groups.
DJs L-Roy, Naida, Styles and Trix will represent the first group also known as the Gold Team while the Black Team will comprise of Phat Beats, Flava, D-Nosh and 4Tune Soul.
The first prize will go to the winning team and thereafter one Dj from each of the two teams will battle it out for the overall prize money.
All the DJs on the line up are professionals in their own right and have rocked Harare on many occasions.
Naida, who is arguably one of the best female Djs in Harare has shared the decks with regional Djs and is versatile when it comes to selecting music. At one time she played alongside Huggies Entertainment, the leaders in old skool music.
Styles is another heavyweight when it comes to scratching the decks and his mix tapes have been doing rounds in town.
Music fans love his mixes and knowledge of songs.
L-Roy is no newcomer when it comes to Dj battles. He has won the Lion Lager Dj contest a record two times and he is one person to watch out for at the gig.
Trix has been there for a long time and has done everything a Dj would do on the decks, preferably throwing dance music for his audiences.
On the other side, Flava is a unique Dj whose main thrust is African music, from kizomba, urban grooves, kwaito to Afro-pop you name it, he is the man to beat.
D-Nosh is a brand when it comes to playing in the clubs.
He is more of a mature Dj whose experience has taken him outside the Zimbabwe’s borders.
He has worked with several South African Djs including DJ Fresh, Oskido, Tira, Cndo and others.
Last but not least is DJ 4Tune Soul, who is now based in South Africa continues to make waves in house and kwaito genres.
He boasts years of experiences having played at almost every club in Harare and he has promised unleash new house tunes just the way fans like it.
Besides the Dj contest, urban grooves artistes Stunner of the “Godo” fame, Cindy Munyavi and the hip-hop dance group High Definition will spice up the night.
