TOP local gospel acts, including Minister Michael Mahendere, are set to perform in Scotland this weekend at an event which will be hosted by songstress Minister Rumbidzai Munyuni.

The event, dubbed Worship Lounge, will be held at Central Hall, Edinburgh, Scotland.

The show will also feature Takesure Zamar, Ellard and Sharon Cherayi and Sir Benjamin Rupapa, performing.

The Worship Lounge is in its second edition.

In an interview with Minister Rumbie said:

“Preparations for the Worship Lounge are at an advanced stage and we are happy with the local top gospel musicians who are set to grace the show,” she said.

“The first batch of musicians, band members and stage managers are leaving today (yesterday) with others following tomorrow (today).

“They will also meet the fans show as part of the Worship Lounge.”

Minister Rumbie said that the event will also be a live DVD recording, which will be released in December, as part of a Christmas gift to fans.

“Guests should be aware that the event is a live DVD recording show. For now, I can’t say much on the discography to be played but it is going to be worship and praise moments,” she said.

The Cherayis said:

“We are excited to be performing amongst some of the greatest artists.

“We are going to use the opportunity to market our upcoming show scheduled on October 26 in Harare,” said Sharon Cherayi.

Minister Micheal Mahendere said:

“We have seen and heard the demand of the local music and this show will serve the purpose. I encourage those living in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Scotland to come for the event.

“I want to thank my sister in music and in Christ Minister Rumbie for this initiative,” he said.
