THE Minister of State for Manicaland Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Advocate Misheck Mugadza has urged the Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare to strengthen accountability and efficient service delivery.
Speaking at the official opening of the ministry’s 2026 First Quarter Review Meeting in Mutare this morning, Minister Mugadza said officials must remain committed to transparent governance, efficient service delivery and measurable results that benefit citizens.
“Accountability, transparency and results-based management are critical in ensuring Government programmes achieve intended outcomes. This workshop comes at an important time when Government is implementing the National Development Strategy 2, which serves as the guiding framework for accelerating socio-economic transformation and driving the country towards the attainment of Vision 2030,” he said.
Minister Mugadza implored public service officials to improve coordination, resource utilisation, monitoring and evaluation while addressing implementation gaps, adding that ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) must work together under a whole-of-government approach to improve citizens’ welfare.
Minister Mugadza also commended ministry officials and the Public Service Commission team for their professionalism, teamwork and commitment to service delivery.
