MATABELELAND South Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Albert Nguluvhe, is leading a team from Government departments from his province on a Look-and-Learn visit to Midlands Province.

Minister Nguluvhe was welcomed by Midlands Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Owen Ncube, at the provincial Government Complex.
“We have come to Midlands to learn, and what we are going to implement in Matabeleland South is for the President. We promise to do even better for the President, and we wholeheartedly applaud His Excellency for the decentralisation of Independence Day celebrations,” he said.

Cabinet approved the Maphisa Open Space in Matobo District, Matabeleland South Province, as the venue for next year’s 46th Independence Day celebrations and the 2026 Children’s Party.

The decision is part of the Government’s commitment to honouring the country’s history while fostering community development.
