Minister speaks on BAZ

broadcaster bought the new vehicles to alleviate transport challenges and enhance its operations in all departments.
“Some have questioned why we put former freedom fighters within the hierarchy of the board.
“This is a legally selected board which was constitutionally selected and until its term of office expires, it will remain in place,” said Minister Shamu.
“These are men who have been tried and tested, whose dedication to duty is unquestionable even under the toughest of conditions and we are proud to have them working with us.”  
The Minister expressed satisfaction over the work being done by the ZBC management.
He said the new vehicles were a sign of the company’s commitment to serving the nation. The ZBC management, he said, has always been transparent in their operations.
“They have worked well with my Ministry as well as the State Procurement Board as they regularly consulted us and sought advice before making important decisions, we salute them for that,” he said. 
General manager finance, administration and public relations, Retired Brigadier Elliot Kasu said management bought the cars to ease transport problems. —  ZBCNews/ Herald Reporter
