STAKEHOLDERS in the Matabeleland region are poised to engage Finance, Economic Development and Investment Promotion Minister, Professor Mthuli Ncube, who will headline the 2026 Post‑Budget Breakfast Meeting in Bulawayo today.

The high‑level dialogue, hosted by Zimpapers in collaboration with the Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries (CZI), is expected to bring together leading voices from the business and financial sectors to unpack the implications of the 2026 National Budget.

The engagement comes just weeks after Prof Ncube presented the budget under the theme: “Enhancing Drivers of Economic Growth and Transformation Towards Vision 2030.”

Organisers said the meeting will provide businesses, investors and analysts with deeper insights into policy measures outlined in the budget, amid expectations of accelerated growth, increased private‑sector participation and stronger macroeconomic stability.

Key speakers include United Refineries Limited Managing Director and Zimbabwe Investment and Development Agency (ZIDA) chairman, Dr Busisa Moyo, who will address on “Industrial Revitalisation and Unlocking the Financial Sector Catalyst”.

The Bankers Association of Zimbabwe president, Dr Sibongile Moyo, will present on “Prospects for the Financial Sector under Budget – Opportunities and Constraints”.

BancEasy Economist and Managing Director, Mr James Wadi, will deliver “A Critical Analysis of the 2026 National Budget for Business and Managing Policy Risk”.

The Special Post‑Budget Breakfast Meeting is expected to attract business leaders, economists, policymakers and investors seeking clarity on Zimbabwe’s 2026 economic outlook.

Observers say the dialogue will be crucial in gauging the feasibility of proposed measures and identifying areas where public‑private collaboration can strengthen fiscal reforms.

The 2026 budget was unveiled against a backdrop of efforts to stabilise inflation, sustain industrial recovery and accelerate progress towards Vision 2030.

Today’s meeting is set to provide a major platform for stakeholders to interrogate the budget’s assumptions and map out strategic responses for the year ahead.
