adminOn the day, 20 girls from Musiwa, Wadzanai, Bushu and Madziva will battle it out for the coveted title with US$500 prize money plus a food hamper.
The first and the second princesses will walk away with US$400 and US$300 respectively while the losing finalists will each get US$50.
Show organiser Mr Joseph Kufandiko said preparations were at an advanced stage with rehearsals and camping scheduled for December 20.
“The girls are expected to be in camp at the club on December 20. During their stay, they will go through awareness sessions on HIV/Aids,” he said.
Mr Kufandiko commended those who assisted the province in its bid to promote talent through the beauty pageant.
“I would like to thank our patron Minister (of Communications and Infrastructure Development) Nicholas Goche for his undying love, continuing to support us since the inception of Miss Shamva more than 10 years ago,” said Mr Kufandiko.
“This is not only the area he has helped us, but was also instrumental in uplifting talent in the form of women’s and men’s soccer.”
The reigning Miss Shamva, Maria Nyabvedzi (18) from Chitungwiza shrugged off the stiff competition last year when she beat 19 other contestants.
A stellar line-up of performers will see some of the province’s artistes exchanging notes with their big city counterparts.
Dancehall chanter King Shaddy will be leading the entourage, which includes Jay C, Mostafa and Leah, Crystol Man Gunz among others.
