THEY came. They conquered. Now they have been rewarded in style.
Zimbabwe’s reigning international beauty queens are smiling all the way to the bank after the Miss Universe Zimbabwe Board fulfilled one of its biggest promises by handing over brand-new vehicles and US$2 000 in cash to each of the country’s international titleholders.
Driving away in brand-new vehicles were Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2026 Roseanne Hall, Miss World Zimbabwe 2026 Brunnette Makanyiso, Miss International Zimbabwe 2026 Virginia Tlou Nyambe, Miss Intercontinental
Zimbabwe 2026 Ruvimbo Njomboro and Top Model of Zimbabwe 2026 Jemima Mandemwa.
Miss Supranational Zimbabwe 2026 Nicole Nyawera, who is still in Poland following her impressive Top 24 finish at the Miss Supranational pageant, will officially take delivery upon her return home.
Roseanne Hall and Brunnette Makanyiso each received a Mercedes-Benz and an iPhone 17 Pro Max, while the remaining queens were presented with Honda Fit vehicles. In addition to the vehicles, every queen received US$2 000 in cash to assist with preparations for their respective international competitions.
The announcement has been warmly received by pageant followers, many describing it as one of the most significant investments ever made in Zimbabwe’s beauty queens. For years, local titleholders have often faced financial challenges when preparing for international pageants, relying heavily on sponsorships, fundraising initiatives and support from well-wishers.
Speaking during the handover ceremony, Miss Universe Zimbabwe Board chairperson Danya Kabwebwe congratulated the queens and reminded them of the responsibility that comes with representing Zimbabwe on the world stage.
“Earning the honour to represent Zimbabwe on the international stage is a remarkable achievement, but it also comes with great responsibility. You are now ambassadors of our nation, our culture and our people.
“As you begin your preparations, embrace every lesson, every challenge and every opportunity to grow. Walk with confidence, humility and purpose, knowing an entire nation stands behind you. We believe in your potential and are confident you will make Zimbabwe proud. The journey starts now, go and shine,” Kabwebwe said.
With Roseanne Hall preparing for the Miss Universe competition, Nicole Nyawera returning from an impressive Top 24 finish at Miss Supranational, and the remaining queens gearing up for their respective international contests, expectations are high. One thing is certain, the journey to the world’s biggest pageant stages has become a little easier.
