REMAINS of a person, suspected to have been murdered, were on Wednesday found in Concession.

The remains are believed to be of Josiah Silas Mkwasi, who was reported missing some time last month.

National police spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi, said the remains now await a post-mortem for identification.

“Police are investigating a suspected murder case where remains of a person were found in Concession,” said Ass-Comm Nyathi.

“The remains were found by two cattle herders and were in a state of decomposition. We are now waiting for post-mortem results,” he said.

Relatives and friends of Josiah gathered at the end of March following reports that his body had been found at a farm.

However, this proved not to be true.
