MISSING STUDENT RETURNS HOME AFTER SEVEN DAYS

H-Metro Reporter

A 13-YEAR-OLD student who went missing for seven days, has returned home. However, relatives say she is still in shock and requires counseling.

According to family members, she was abducted in Waterfalls and was last seen being taken away in a taxi. She was returned home by Solomon Tapera, an elderly man.

“We are relieved that she is back home, but she’s still traumatised,” a close relative told H-Metro.

“We haven’t been able to ask her about her ordeal yet, as she needs professional counseling to cope with the experience.”

The relative confirmed that the suspects involved in the abduction, including the taxi driver, have been arrested and are being held at Waterfalls Police Station.

Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, was unavailable for comment.

The family is seeking counseling services to help the child recover from her traumatic experience.
