UPCOMING Zim Hip Hop artist, Welsh “Mista Next level” Muyeruza, has urged Zimbabweans to stop Gender-Based Violence (GBV).

He made this call by releasing a song titled Mwana, which denounces violence against young girls and women.

Mr Next Level’s new release comes at a time when the world is commemorating 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based violence.

“The song is about a fighting couple compromising their relationship for their new-born baby.

“The song was inspired by the motive to fight gender-based violence and understanding the pain of growing up with separated parents,” he said.

In an interview with H-Metro, Mista Next Level said Zimbabwean men should treat women with love and respect.

“A big NO to gender-based violence.

“Zimbabwean men should know that we are special and our women are equally special and lovely.

“Only raise your hands when you want to hug,” he added.

The 24-year-old hopes that his music will change a lot of lives.

“I hope in five years’ time my music will change many lives and I will work hard for that.

“My hope is just to deliver messages effectively and with a positive vibe to the whole world,” he said.

The young artist, who was inspired by many events when growing up, said he is working on a video for the Mwana song.

“I am working on Mwana visuals  and another single featuring Silent Killer. So far, I  have released a number of singles and l have worked with other artists like Ti Gonz, SeynSkyie, Millz and Silent Killer.

“To my fans, keep on supporting me and keep it solid on God, I love you,” he said.
