Property worth thousands of dollars belonging to former Zanu-PF Mashonaland West provincial chairman Mr Temba Mliswa was yesterday attached by the deputy sheriff at his Spring Farm in a bid to recover nearly $3 million owed to a local commercial bank.
The deputy sheriff went to Mr Mliswa’s Spring Farm in Karoi at around 8am yesterday.
A 48-hour moratorium is provided before the property is taken away and sold to recover the money owed.
The attached property includes farm equipment, household and guest house furniture and 180 head of cattle.

Mr Mliswa is said to owe the Commercial Bank of Zimbabwe $2 745 092,72, which he allegedly failed to repay despite several letters of demand.
A writ of execution directing attachment of the movable property from Saltlakes Holdings and Mr Mliswa on 13 January, 2015 under case No 8835/14 was issued.
This followed a default judgment by Justice Mawadze on December 16, 2014 at the High Court ordering recovery of the $2 745 092,72 and costs of the suit. The case was referred to the deputy sheriff responsible for Karoi on June 26.
The deputy sheriff, Mr Stewart Sibanda Magudze, confirmed the development yesterday.
“We made an attachment of an assortment of goods and equipment as directed by the High Court order issued on 13 January 2015,” he said.
The property, including household furniture, gym equipment, generators, hammer mills, ploughs, cultivators, irrigation pipes, trailers, roam discs, compressors was attached.
Also attached were vehicles including a Nissan Patrol, Mazda T35 truck and tractors.
The total amount due is now $3 507 931,25 including cost of the suit and interest calculated at 28 percent per annum from the date of issue of the order.
