During cross examination, Cde Mahoka said she sustained a dislocated ankle, back and chest injuries during the attack at Zvimonja business centre on February 22.
The defence, however, dismissed her allegations producing a medical affidavit prepared by one Dr Tsitira stating that Cde Mahoka who had an ankle guard on her left leg sustained soft tissue injuries to her chest and leg. The medical report indicated that Cde Mahoka was not hospitalised.
“I sustained blood clots on my back during the assault and a dislocated ankle.
“They also hit me in the head leading to headaches,” she said.
For the defence Mr Musindo Hungwe who was assisted by Mr Ray Tsvakwi, Mr Mike Mutsvairo and Mr Kudzanai Choga asked her if the court should believe her evidence instead of the professional opinion of a doctor.
He questioned Cde Mahoka’s level of education. Asked if she had evidence showing that Mliswa issued instructions to the other nine accused persons to assault her, Cde Mahoka she said she heard the accused persons saying they had been sent by the businessman.
She insisted that Mliswa was responsible for the attack as one of the accused lived at Mliswa’s farm while the vehicle which was used is used at the farm. The defence indicated that the vehicle was not registered in Mliswa’s name and that it belonged to one Tongai Mvarume.
