MOHAMMED KUDUS is believed to have suffered an injury setback in what would be a major blow to relegation-threatened Tottenham.
While there are fears it could throw the Ghana star’s participation at this summer’s World Cup into jeopardy.
Kudus, 25, has been out since January with a crocked quad and hamstring.
Spurs were hoping he would return to action this month to play a vital part in their battle against the drop — but that looks in doubt now.
It is believed the fresh issue is related to his quad again and sources suggest Kudus could even require surgery.
The player is understood to be gutted by the setback, knowing it could impact his chances of helping his club in the Premier League and his country at the World Cup.
New boss Roberto De Zerbi — who came close to signing Kudus when in charge of Brighton — will be hoping the damage is minor as he attempts to save Spurs from going down.
Kudus joined from the Hammers last summer in a £55million deal and has netted two goals and grabbed five assists this term. — Sun
