Mongameli Tshuma fairytale rise set to continue

THE confirmation of Supersport coverage for the Mukuru 4 Nations tournament could further push the fairytale rise of Highlanders star Mongameli Tshuma.

Just six months ago, Mongameli was fighting with Hwange for PSL promotion in the Southern Region Soccer league.

In the six months period, he has risen from being a Hwange talisman to a Highlanders star and is now with the Warriors squad.

If Marian Marinica can give him the chance to show what he can offer in matches set to be watched by millions in the region, the unthinkable could still happen.

It is expected that a number of scouts will be monitoring players during the turnament, with chances some players could be lucky.

The first images of Mongomeli in Warriors training kit has not gone unotticed, with indications the player has turned ‘box office’.

According to a draw conducted this afternoon, the Warriors face Botswana in the semi-final while Zambia and Malawi face each other in the other semi-final.
