BULAWAYO – A three-year-old girl is nursing a dislocated arm after her stepfather allegedly turned into a savage beast, beating her while her mother stepped out to buy relish!
Freedom Ncube (25) appeared in the Western Commonage Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate Archie Wochiwunga, facing a chilling charge of ill-treatment or neglect of children and young persons. He was not asked to plead and was remanded to 22 April 2025.
According to court papers, on 10 February 2025, at around 6PM, little peace was shattered in a Cowdray Park home when the toddler’s mother, Thembinkosi Dube, left her daughter in Ncube’s care.
But instead of playing daddy, Ncube allegedly flew into a rage, slapping the helpless child with his tough calloused hands and bashing her with an unknown object.
The shocking assault left the innocent toddler with a dislocated left arm—a gruesome injury for a child who can barely speak.
After the mother returned and discovered the child’s condition, the matter was swiftly reported to the police, leading to Ncube’s arrest.
More details to follow after the court appearance…
