AFTER successfully launching the Lyngoma riddim in Harare last month, veteran producer Lyton Ngolomi is not taking a breather.
He has since begun working on another gospel riddim meant to unite artists.
His first gospel riddim, which he co-produced with his son Altus Ngolomi, has proved to be a hit with fans.
It carries more than 35 songs with nearly all the household artists riding on the riddim.
These include Evangelist Timothy, Nicholas Chirunga, Blessing Shumba, Mathias Mhere, Dorcas Moyo, Munyaradzi Munodawafa, among others.
In an interview with H-Metro, Ngolomi believes gospel artists can go far once they remain united.
“We are not stopping this culture of riddims in gospel music.
“We have seen the power of it in Zim dancehall and the same can happen in gospel.
“After our first riddim, we are already on a new project and we are looking forward to another beautiful project.”
He added: “I’m glad that there is unity amongst gospel artists in Zimbabwe as demonstrated on the first riddim we launched last month.
“The enthusiasm was there and we hope to build on that momentum and change the narrative.”
Ngolomi is a seasoned gospel artist-cum-producer who has been in the game for over two-and-half decades.
