Several artistes have promised to grace the much waited Jah Prayzah and Suluman Chimbetu friendship concert that will be held at Private Lounge on February 25.
Organisers of the event said due to the overwhelming response they have decided to have some artistes to come and grace the event as guest performers.
“Plans are that we have some artistes that will come and grace the event as guests so that people have real fun as well as celebrating the concepts by Sulu and Jah to have a joint show,” said organisers.
Jazz musician Norman Masamba, through his manager Elvis Bokosha, said such gigs were crucial as they bring artists together.
“Jah Prayzah and Suluman are great artistes and that is the best platform for us to learn from them,” he said.
He said they were happy that the organisers were accepting upcoming artistes to come and showcase their talent.
Joe Mentro who is behind the gig said some of the local entertainers have shown their interest to be part of the gig since it was announced.
“We are foreseeing an action-packed event that should not be missed,” said Joe Mentro.
“A number of artistes have applauded the move by Suluman and Jah Prayzah and are interested to be part of it. So we are urging fans to gear up for great experience. We will communicate all the developments as time progresses,” he said.
The musicians are known for attracting bumper crowds whenever they share the stage, the same situation expected at the show.
Mentro said it was important that musicians come together for a purpose as well as giving fans real value for their money.
Both camps have promised fireworks saying it was important that people have embraced the move.
Jah Prayzah’s manager Keen Mushapaidze said they were happy that the event got overwhelming response.
“The response is overwhelming, giving us zeal to give them the best,” he said.
Joe Nyamungoma Sulu’s publicist said the show was good news for their fans.
“This should be interesting news to our fans because it’s been long since we shared the stage with Jah Prayzah in Harare. Fans should look forward to something interesting on the day and we will have time together on stage,” he said.
